Description
The Lexy collection by Aristide contains a velvet living fabric with a large floral design on a dark background. The print is reminiscent of a still life from the Golden Age. This 17th century painting style started as an exercise for painters, but grew into one of the most important genres of the time to showcase their skills. The still lifes can be roughly divided into three themes: sober tables, showy still lifes and still lifes with a moralizing message. It is clear that Lexy's generous, rich floral pattern matches the showpieces, in fact it can be said that everything covered with Lexy becomes a showpiece.
